Lotte Construction has secured its first contract of the year in the redevelopment sector by winning the Seoul Seongsu 1 District housing reconstruction project.
According to the redevelopment industry on the 23rd, Lotte Construction was selected as the contractor at the 'Seongsu 1 District Housing Reconstruction Redevelopment Project Contractor Selection General Meeting' held the previous day at Megabox Square in Seongdong-gu, Seoul.
The Seongsu 1 District housing reconstruction project involves the redevelopment of the area around 1656-1267 Seongsu, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, into five apartment buildings with a total floor area of 47,900㎡, ranging from three basement levels to 23 above-ground floors, comprising a total of 272 households. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2024.
Seongsu 1 District is a transit-oriented area near Ttukseom Station on Subway Line 2, with the Han River and Jungnangcheon Stream flowing nearby. Within a 1 km radius, there are numerous elementary, middle, and high schools, including Seoul Forest, making the location highly favorable.
Lotte Construction plans to enhance the value of the complex by applying a luxurious curtain wall look using exterior designs inspired by Jungnangcheon Stream and high-end exterior materials, aiming to make it a landmark complex in Seongsu-dong.
A Lotte Construction official said, "To create the finest luxury apartments in Seongsu-dong, we proposed a specialized design incorporating Lotte Construction's construction expertise.
