[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] North Korea is focusing on promoting "generational loyalty" to mark the 10th anniversary of Kim Jong-un's leadership this year.

The Workers' Party's official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, on the 23rd published an editorial titled "Loyalty Must Be Faith, Conscience, and Allegiance," stating, "Loyalty to the leader must be kept as revolutionary faith, conscience, and allegiance," emphasizing that loyalty to General Secretary Kim Jong-un should be "ideologized, conscientized, moralized, and lived."

The newspaper evaluated the achievements of the past decade, saying, "The last 10 years have been a sacred path embroidered with our people's noble loyalty to the respected General Secretary," and praised, "The power of our people who have ideologized, conscientized, moralized, and lived loyalty to the respected General Secretary is irresistible."

It also emphasized that the first generation of revolutionaries kept their loyalty to President Kim Il-sung as faith, conscience, and allegiance, shining as true revolutionaries who lived the most beautiful lives, and urged offering "generational loyalty," saying, "True loyalty is loyalty that sincerely serves one's leader without any pretense, regardless of changing circumstances, and loyalty that is passed down through generations, unwavering until the end."
