[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] The Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association announced on the 23rd that it will conduct the '2022 Lunar New Year Holiday Free Vehicle Inspection Service' in collaboration with domestic automobile manufacturers to ensure the safe driving of vehicle users during the Lunar New Year holiday period.
The free vehicle inspection during the Lunar New Year holiday, which will be held for three days from 8:30 AM on the 26th to 5:30 PM on the 28th, will involve domestic manufacturers (Hyundai Motor Company, Kia, Korea GM, Renault Samsung Motors).
Hyundai Motor Company offers free inspections at 21 directly operated Hi-Tech Centers and 1,331 service partners (Blue Hands), while Kia provides the service at 18 directly operated service centers and 783 service partners (Auto Q).
Korea GM will conduct free inspections at 9 directly operated service centers, and Renault Samsung Motors at 7 directly operated service centers.
During the free inspection period, customers visiting designated service centers can have their engine, air conditioning, braking system status, tire air pressure and wear condition, coolant and various oils, wipers, and fuse status checked.
The association explained that if necessary after the free inspection, some consumable parts such as fuses will also be provided free of charge on the spot.
An association official stated, "Emergency dispatch teams for each manufacturer are also operated at all times to provide prompt support in case of vehicle breakdowns or traffic accidents during driving," and added, "In case of emergencies, please utilize these services to receive quick assistance from the nearest repair shop."
