[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] Yemeni rebels 'Houthi' announced that at least 70 people were killed in a Saudi Arabia detention camp bombing.

According to major foreign media on the 22nd, Taha Al-Mutawakel, the health minister of the rebels, reported that 70 people died and dozens were injured in the airstrike on a detention camp in Saada Province carried out the previous day. Minister Al-Mutawakel explained, "Many of the injured are in critical condition, and due to poor medical conditions, the death toll may increase."

The Saudi-led Arab coalition has intensified its offensive against the Yemeni rebels. This came after the Yemeni rebels claimed attacks such as the assault on oil facilities in Abu Dhabi, citing hostile acts by the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Turki Al-Maliki, spokesperson for the Saudi coalition forces, pointed out, "The Houthi rebels did not register the detention camp with the UN and international organizations as a 'protected facility,'" calling it "a routine and deceptive act by the rebels." It is reported that the detention camp housed African migrants heading to wealthy Gulf countries.

Local Saudi media reported, "The coalition conducted precision strikes to neutralize the Houthi rebels operating in Hodeidah."

Meanwhile, it is known that internet services in Hodeidah and Saada regions were completely cut off following the coalition airstrikes.
