The 2021 Busan Area LINC+ Project Group Network Capacity Building and Performance Sharing Workshop is currently underway.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Dooyul] A total of 15 industry-academia cooperation leading universities (LINC+) project groups in the Busan area will actively begin the LINC 3.0 industry-academia cooperation system advancement collaboration starting this year.
The Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan-area LINC+ Project Group Council will hold a two-day workshop from the 24th to the 25th at Sono Calm Geoje to strengthen the network capabilities of the Busan-area LINC+ project groups and share achievements.
The council will also sign an agreement for business exchange to advance the industry-academia cooperation system among the 15 LINC+ project groups.
The LINC+ project groups will activate exchanges of human and material resources with the keywords ‘sharing and collaboration,’ including ▲joint provision of employment opportunities such as field training and internships ▲joint production and distribution of content for entrepreneurship education ▲joint hosting of entrepreneurship programs such as camps, workshops, and competitions ▲collaboration on industry-academia cooperation projects to solve regional problems ▲planning and operation of joint programs to spread achievements ▲joint research and information exchange to produce LINC 3.0 outcomes.
At the workshop, Shin Dongseok, chairman of the Busan-area LINC+ Project Group Council, will give a special lecture on the theme ‘LINC 3.0 Strategy and Business Model.’
Outstanding cases by university include ▲Dongmyung University’s operation of the Regional Social Cooperation Center ▲Dongseo University’s post-COVID-19 era workforce training and employment-linked AllSUN industry-academia track using the on-campus field system ▲Silla University’s LINC+ joint technology development ▲Dong-Eui Science University’s job training for industry workers.
The council will also present plaques of appreciation to Busan City Council member No Gisub and Busan Youth Industry-Academia Startup Director Gomi Ja.
Council member No led the proposal and enactment of the Busan City Ordinance to Promote Local-Industry-Academia Cooperation, and Director Go is leading policies to spread startup culture and activate industry-academia cooperation in Busan.
Chairman Shin Dongseok said, “We will actively implement sharing and collaboration between universities and between universities and companies to secure the LINC 3.0 project to the fullest and lay the foundation for regional mutual development.”
