'Reopening of Jeongyang Auto Camping Site in Hapcheon-gun, the "Mecca of Camping"'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Jeongyang Leisure Sports Park Auto Camping Site in Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam, will open from the 28th after about a month of maintenance in preparation for the Lunar New Year holiday.

Located adjacent to the beautiful Hwanggang River and sandy beach, Jeongyang Auto Camping Site has established itself as a new camping area in Hapcheon, attracting about 7,000 campers last year.

This year, the site will be expanded to 63 sites, an increase of 19 from last year, and is fully prepared to welcome campers with renovated facilities including restrooms, showers, and washbasins, as well as the installation of children's playground equipment.

In addition, to resolve the inconvenience of having to move between multiple sites for internet reservations, a dedicated booking site has been newly established. Reservations will be available from January 20.

A county official stated, “Since the auto camping site came under direct management by the county, camper satisfaction has increased,” and added, “This is a clean and safe camping site for campers exhausted by COVID-19, so we ask users to strictly follow quarantine rules and help prevent COVID-19.”
