Naju-si to Recruit Participants for 'Public Work Project' Until the 28th


[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 21st that it will recruit 50 participants for the ‘2022 First Half Public Work Project (2nd round)’ until the 28th.


The recruitment fields and number of people will select 50 participants for a total of 33 projects, including support for disinfection of government buildings to prevent COVID-19.


The main projects include ▲disinfection support and guide assistant at government buildings and administrative welfare centers ▲environmental cleanup and work assistance at local centers and institutions ▲disinfection management of tourist facilities, and detailed lists can be checked on the city hall website’s public announcement section.


Applicants must be citizens aged 18 or older residing in Naju City with the ability to work, prioritizing employment for those who lost jobs due to the COVID-19 impact, unpaid leave workers, and vulnerable groups requiring urgent livelihood support.


Applications can be submitted by filling out the application form and other documents posted on the city hall and Worknet websites and submitting them to the administrative welfare center of the applicant’s address by the 28th.


Work standards vary by detailed project, and from March to the end of June (4 months), participants will work 15 to 40 hours per week and receive an hourly wage of 9,160 KRW (snack allowance separate).


Earlier this month, the city selected 25 public workers in two categories: ‘local quarantine’ and ‘local community.’


A city official said, “We hope the public work project will help improve residents’ livelihood conditions amid the prolonged COVID-19 situation, even if only a little,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to create quality jobs through social public services.”
