[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] Interest is focusing on who will purchase the news videos containing the pledges of the 22nd presidential candidates, which have been issued as NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) for the first time.
On the 21st, YTN announced that it had produced NFTs of the acceptance speeches and key pledge news videos of four presidential candidates: Lee Jae-myung of the Democratic Party, Yoon Seok-youl of the People Power Party, Sim Sang-jung of the Justice Party, and Ahn Cheol-soo of the People’s Party.
This is the first time a broadcasting company has produced news videos of presidential candidates' pledges as NFTs. The pledges and promises to the public contained in the NFTs cannot be altered as long as the blockchain network exists.
The candidate-specific videos produced as NFTs were reportedly selected directly by each candidate’s side.
The 'Lee Jae-myung Pledge NFT #1: A Country of Fairness and Common Sense, a Country of Great Unity' released that day includes pledges such as "I, Lee Jae-myung, will create a country that is fair and reasonable, a country of great unity where everyone enjoys equal opportunities," and "I will build a fair and reasonable country where special sacrifices are rewarded with special compensation."
The pledges in 'Yoon Seok-youl Pledge NFT #1: Making Youth and Women the Main Players of Victory' include "I, Yoon Seok-youl, will strengthen youth and women, expand the support base, and make them the main players of victory," and "I will expand the support base through centrism and rational progressivism, making youth and women the core of winning the presidential election."
This NFT is scheduled to be transferred to collectors via auction on the global NFT platform OpenSea until noon on the 4th of next month.
