[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Jeonnam Hwasun-gun announced on the 21st that it will hold a "Life Sharing Love Blood Donation Event" on the 25th at the 4th-floor conference room of the county office council building and in front of the Happy Civil Service Office.
This event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in cooperation with the Korean Red Cross Gwangju-Jeonnam Blood Center. Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, group blood donations have decreased, so the event was organized to secure emergency blood supplies.
The county plans to strictly follow quarantine rules such as wearing masks, measuring body temperature, installing partitions, and periodic disinfection to prevent the spread of COVID-19 during the blood donation event.
Residents aged 16 to 69 who wish to donate blood must be judged suitable for blood donation through a preliminary test conducted on-site.
Participants must bring a valid ID.
The blood donation certificates collected through the event will be donated to Hwasun Jeonnam National University Hospital for leukemia and pediatric cancer patients.
A health center official said, "The county holds blood donation events for employees and residents every year in the first and second half of the year," and added, "We hope everyone actively participates in practicing life sharing and neighborly love."
