[Gangjin=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-su] The Dasan Museum in Gangjin-gun, Jeollanam-do, has been publicly purchasing artifacts related to Dasan for 35 days from the 17th of last month until the 21st of next month.
According to the museum on the 21st, in order to establish the identity of the public museum and utilize the artifacts for exhibition, education, research materials, and public works, a notice regarding artifact purchases has been posted on the Gangjin-gun website until the 21st of next month, and applications are being accepted.
The artifacts targeted for purchase include various types of items with historical, academic, and artistic preservation value related to Dasan Jeong Yak-yong, his direct blood relatives, siblings, disciples, and figures he interacted with.
The sellers eligible for artifact sales are individual collectors, cultural property dealers, corporations, or organizations. Those wishing to sell should prepare the artifact sale application form and related documents and submit them by visiting the Dasan Museum or via registered mail or email.

Director Yoon Jae-pyeong said, “After receiving the artifact sale applications, we will confirm the artifacts to be purchased through the artifact purchase committee, proceed with appraisal committee reviews and illegal cultural property verification procedures, and then carry out ownership transfer work to enhance the professionalism of the Dasan Museum.”
