Shinhan Card, 2021 Performance Evaluation Conference... "Need to Build Differentiated Experiences" On the 20th, at the Shinhan Card 2021 Performance Evaluation Conference held at Blue Square in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, Lim Young-jin, CEO of Shinhan Card, is delivering an encouragement speech.

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young]Shinhan Card announced on the 21st that it held the 2021 Performance Evaluation Conference and decided to build differentiated experiences to achieve Shinhan Financial Group's goal of "Easier and More Comfortable, Newer Finance."


The performance evaluation conference held the previous day was conducted with all employees participating via video conference, reflecting the COVID-19 situation, at Blue Square located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, with key executives including Cho Yong-byeong, Chairman of Shinhan Financial Group, in attendance.


Shinhan Card CEO Lim Young-jin emphasized the importance of "building differentiated experiences" from three perspectives: "business growth, future customers, and organizational culture" in his encouragement speech. He stressed the need to continuously expand the scope of business through creative business initiatives such as platform-based new finance and new commerce, maximize future customer value based on digital new technologies and big data capabilities, and achieve a dramatic cultural transformation through accumulated organizational experience and continuous learning activities.


CEO Lim said, "We must become the main agents of this great transformation, like a cruise ship that moves vigorously by itself rather than a sailing ship driven by the wind, and actively and confidently face new changes," adding, "Each and every employee should rush forward toward achieving 'First-class Shinhan' and 'Easier and More Comfortable, Newer Finance' through self-leadership."


The performance evaluation conference is the largest annual internal event that selects and encourages outstanding departments and employees who achieved excellent results over the past year. This year's conference was planned under the concept of "First-class Shinhan pLay:er."


Along with the "Shinhan Award," given to individuals who proactively embody the group's core values, awards were also presented to organizations and individuals who achieved excellent results in areas such as digital strategy promotion. In particular, the "Turnaround Award," given to organizations that showed improved performance in the second half compared to the first half, was presented to strengthen organizational motivation. A new ESG Excellence Award was established to maximize company-wide ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) performance, and the "Best Collaboration Award" and "Financial Consumer Protection Award" were expanded to promote interdepartmental collaboration culture and strengthen consumer-centered management.
