Naver Unveils Renderings of 'Robot-Friendly' Second Headquarters

Naver unveiled a bird's-eye view of its second headquarters building on the 21st, ahead of its completion.

The second headquarters, scheduled for completion in the first half of this year, is located next to Naver's main office 'Green Factory' in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do. Some teams, including Naver Labs, which will conduct technical inspections within the facility, have already moved in.

The second headquarters will house not only Naver but also external partners, including some teams from external offices whose leases have ended, startups invested in by Naver's startup nurturing organization 'D2SF,' and researchers from the KAIST-Naver Artificial Intelligence (AI) Center.

Naver explained, "We will also provide dedicated spaces for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and creators, creating a workspace that harmonizes with a wider variety of partners."

Naver's second headquarters is the first in Korea to apply a 5G specialized network and was built with the goal of being a robot-friendly building. Naver previously announced that it filed 22 patents related to the technological features of the world's first 'building equipped with a cloud robot system.'

Naver plans to enable employees to naturally experience advanced technologies in their daily lives and focus on their work.
