Eurozone December Last Year CPI Year-on-Year 5.0% Increase

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] On the 20th (local time), Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union (EU), announced that the Eurozone's Consumer Price Index (CPI) for December last year rose 5.0% compared to the same month of the previous year and 0.4% compared to the previous month. The core CPI, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, increased 2.6% year-on-year and 0.4% month-on-month. Both the CPI and core CPI were in line with market expectations.
