Monthly Support of 800,000 KRW per Youth, Up to 12 Months, Annual Maximum Support of 9,600,000 KRW
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Jeonnam Gwangyang Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Lee Baek-gu) announced on the 20th that it has recently been selected as an operating institution for the ‘2022 Youth Job Leap Incentive’ by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and is recruiting eligible candidates.
The ‘Youth Job Leap Incentive Project’ is a system that supports young people who are having difficulty finding employment due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic by providing incentives when young people are hired as regular employees and their employment is maintained for more than six months.
Eligible companies are business owners of priority support companies with an average of five or more employees insured under employment insurance for one year prior to the month immediately before applying for the project.
However, companies in growth promising industries, knowledge service industries, cultural content industries, new and renewable energy industries, youth start-up companies, future promising companies, regional key industry companies, companies located in employment crisis areas, and companies in special employment support industries are eligible for support even if they have fewer than five employees.
Eligible youth are those aged 15 to 34 who have been unemployed for more than six months as of the priority hiring date and meet certain conditions to participate.
Support is provided at 800,000 KRW per month per youth for up to 12 months, with a maximum annual support of 9,600,000 KRW.
A representative of the Gwangyang Chamber of Commerce and Industry said, “This is a support project that should not be missed as it can simultaneously resolve the recruitment difficulties of companies and the job-seeking difficulties of youth, and we hope this project will bring some vitality back to the local economy.”
