Park Jeong-ui Elected as the 7th President of the Seoul Theater Association

Park Jeong-ui (Theater Company Choin, Director) was elected as the 7th president of the Seoul Theater Association.

The Seoul Theater Association held a general meeting on the 17th at the Multipurpose Hall of the Good Performance Information Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and conducted an election for executive improvement. Out of 1,312 eligible voters, 894 cast their votes, and candidate Park Jeong-ui, who received 524 votes, was elected as the 7th president. Kim Do-hyeong (Theater Company Nowon, Director and Actor) and Kim Min-gyeong (Theater Company Nomad, Director) were elected as vice presidents. The term of office is four years.

President Park Jeong-ui expressed, "If we walk step by step as planned without wavering, together with beloved theater comrades, we will be able to reach the desired point," and added, "I will become a person who can leave while receiving applause from all members." He continued, "We plan to focus on expanding member services such as building a member profile database, securing a shared complex cultural space for members, and supporting theater artists' ticket fees," and stated, "We will achieve digital innovation such as activating the association's online platform and digitizing the cultural bulletin board."
