This testing was carried out to alleviate the inconvenience of local businesses in accordance with the Jeollanam-do administrative order requiring weekly comprehensive testing of both domestic and foreign workers at workplaces with many foreign employees, aiming to prevent cluster infections amid the nationwide spread of Omicron.
The county organized and operated five testing teams consisting of 15 personnel on the day, completing tests for 678 individuals (275 foreign workers and 403 domestic workers).
Jung Woon-gi, the office manager of Geumseong Industrial Complex, expressed gratitude, saying, “It was difficult for many people in the complex to visit the health center all at once due to time and transportation issues, so we appreciate the direct on-site testing.”
