Intensive Inspection of 55 Sites Including Apartment Complexes and Building Construction Sites Until the 11th of Next Month
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] On the 20th, Buk-gu, Gwangju City announced that it has started safety inspections of new construction sites from the 17th to manage construction quality during the winter season.
This inspection was conducted to prevent safety accidents that may occur at construction sites, promote solid construction, and prevent poor-quality construction.
Buk-gu is conducting inspections on a total of 55 sites, including 17 apartment complexes, redevelopment, and reconstruction sites, and 38 construction sites of buildings over 3 floors and 1000㎡, through a public-private joint inspection team composed of officials from the relevant departments and a quality inspection team, until the 11th of next month.
The main inspection items include ▲ compliance with specifications related to winter concrete pouring and curing ▲ appropriateness of design documents and design changes ▲ compliance with safety management plans ▲ compliance with quality control (testing) plans ▲ supervision and construction performance, etc.
According to the inspection results, minor issues will be corrected immediately, and strong administrative measures will be taken for serious matters such as concerns about safety accidents, negligence in safety management, or poor construction.
In particular, for sites with high risk levels, detailed inspections will be conducted together with experts in related fields to continuously manage risk factors.
Earlier, on the 13th and 14th, Moon In, the head of Buk-gu Office, visited a total of six sites under construction in Buk-gu, including officetels, apartment complexes, and Living SOC projects, to check the progress of construction and compliance with safety standards.
Mayor Moon said, “Winter construction must be carried out more diligently according to standards,” and added, “We will conduct thorough inspections to prevent various safety accidents, and if any risks or illegal matters are detected, strict measures will be taken according to relevant laws.”
