[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] On the 20th, Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, continued his criticism of Ahn Cheol-soo, the party's presidential candidate, using expressions such as "petty," "a very interesting person," and "someone who thinks the world revolves around himself."
On that day, Lee appeared on CBS Radio's Kim Hyun-jung News Show and shared his thoughts regarding the controversy surrounding the masked debate. Recently, Lee appeared on a broadcast program where participants wore masks to conceal their identities while discussing political issues, and he criticized candidate Ahn. In response, the People’s Party identified the masked figure as Lee and raised concerns, leading to the program's cancellation.
Regarding this, Lee acknowledged that he was the person behind the mask and stated, "(That program) is a debate program that broadly covers presidential candidates and issues, and when I asked why they were attacking me there, it wasn’t a new attack and was even milder than what I said on the News Show (radio program)." He added, "Ahn appeared in passing, but seeing this reaction, it seems he still hasn’t let go of his petty feelings."
Lee said, "In politics, when your name appears as a topic on TV debates or elsewhere, you should rather enjoy and accept it. Chasing after each broadcasting station saying I was harmed is complete delusion," and criticized, "Do you think Lee Jun-seok would wear a mask and appear on a broadcast just to criticize Ahn Cheol-soo? It’s someone who thinks the world revolves around himself."
Regarding Ahn’s comment that "Isn’t it because he’s scared, nervous, and anxious (about Lee’s criticism)?", Lee responded, "I see him as a very interesting person, not a scary presence."
