[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Ulsan City Museum of Art, a long-cherished project in Ulsan, surpassed 20,000 visitors just two weeks after its opening.
On the 20th at 11 a.m., Ulsan City announced that it will hold the "Ulsan City Museum of Art Opening Evaluation Countermeasure Meeting" at the convenience building of the Ulsan City Museum of Art to discuss measures to revitalize the museum.
This meeting was organized to review the overall situation of the museum, which exceeded 20,000 visitors in its second week since opening, and to discuss improvement measures by sector.
The meeting will be held under the chairmanship of the Ulsan mayor, with heads of related departments and district officials attending, along with representatives from art organizations to gather opinions from the local art community.
Topics to be explored include ▲ promotion plans for Ulsan tourism linked with the City Museum of Art ▲ traffic management measures ▲ and mutual development plans between the City Museum of Art and the original downtown area.
Discussions will also cover evaluations that the media art exhibitions are somewhat difficult to understand compared to painting works, and visitor response issues due to a shortage of museum staff.
Ulsan City plans to promote tourism through the production of promotional videos and linking with city tours.
A representative of the Ulsan City Museum of Art said, “The museum is growing into a local attraction that satisfies citizens’ cultural thirst and is a great place for outings with children,” adding, “We will make it a landmark that embodies the wishes of Ulsan citizens and pursues Ulsan as a cultural city.”
