[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor You Deok-yeol) delivered a special membership fee of 1.5 million KRW to the Korean Red Cross (President Shin Hee-young) on the afternoon of the 19th.

The delivery ceremony took place at 3 p.m. on the 5th floor mayor's office of the district office, attended by a total of five officials including Kim Yoon-kyung, Director of the Northern Volunteer Center of the Korean Red Cross Seoul Metropolitan Branch, and Lee Chun-gyo, Chairman of the Dongdaemun District Council of the Korean Red Cross Volunteer Association.

You Deok-yeol, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, expressed deep gratitude for the Korean Red Cross's efforts in public welfare activities to protect the lives of citizens, such as supporting COVID-19 self-quarantined individuals and disaster victims, saying, "I hope the culture of donation spreads widely in the local community and that the Red Cross sharing activities become more active."

Nowon-gu (Mayor Oh Seung-rok) announced that it received a warm winter donation from the Korea Association of Realtors at the mayor's office at 3 p.m. on the 19th.

The Nowon branch of the Korea Association of Realtors said that with the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and the cold wave, help is needed more than ever, and they delivered a collected donation of 6.5 million KRW.

Recently, the Nowon branch has also participated in a half-price brokerage fee project for college students and single vulnerable households through talent donation.

The delivery ceremony was held with the attendance of Mayor Oh Seung-rok, Kim Han-gil, President of the Nowon branch of the Korea Association of Realtors, and Vice President Lim Young-hee, followed by the donation handover and commemorative photo session.
