[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-kwon] Namwon City in Jeonbuk and the Jeollabuk-do Content Convergence Promotion Agency (Director Choi Yong-seok) have joined hands to revitalize smart tourism.
Namwon City announced on the 19th that it signed a business agreement with the Jeonbuk Content Convergence Promotion Agency (hereinafter Jeonbuk Conjinwon).
The city is promoting this project to combine the globally emerging smart IT technology with Namwon's boundless tourism ecosystem to present a more effective and efficient path to advanced tourism.
The main agreement items include ▲ cooperation to attract the Namwon Smart Tourism City creation project ▲ discovery of projects to revitalize Namwon smart tourism ▲ matters related to the activation of tourism venture companies and youth startups.
The Smart Tourism City creation project is a public contest project hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization, providing differentiated experiences, convenience, and services to tourists through the convergence and fusion of tourism and technology elements.
It is also a project to promote regional tourism activation through the realization of a smart tourism ecosystem, with national funding support of 3.5 billion KRW.
The city was selected as the first candidate city for the Smart Tourism City tourist attraction type, and through this, it is recruiting participating companies and forming a consortium, accelerating preparations for the next contest.
