Lee Jong-guk, CEO of SR, the operator of SRT, said this during a communication special lecture for employees on the 18th.

SR announced on the 19th that it held a special lecture by CEO Lee under the theme of "Visiting Railroad Stories" to strengthen consensus on high-speed rail policies and SR's management philosophy.

On that day, CEO Lee shared his experiences from the construction of railroads such as the Gyeongbu High-Speed Line and Honam High-Speed Line to the development of high-speed trains, explained the government's railroad policy directions, and discussed with employees the background and implementation plans of the slogan "Absolute Safety, Return to Profitability, Complete SR."

He also emphasized revitalizing the organization and changing its structure together by improving various systems and frameworks that act as obstacles to solidify SR's foundation, simplifying unnecessary report writing, and enhancing work efficiency.

CEO Lee is well recognized as a railroad expert, having served as head of the Gyeongbu High-Speed Rail Opening and Operation Team at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, director of the Railroad Industry Division, director of the High-Speed Rail Division, head of the Railroad Safety Planning Group, and president of Busan Transportation Corporation. He earned a Ph.D. in Railroad Management Policy from Seoul National University of Science and Technology. Notably, during his tenure at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, he planned major policies for Korea's high-speed rail, including the construction and opening of the Gyeongbu and Honam High-Speed Lines, development of high-speed trains, and research and development support for the 430km/h Haemu project. He also finalized the basic plan for the Suseo High-Speed Rail, which became the foundation for SRT operations.

Starting with "Visiting Railroad Stories," CEO Lee plans to continuously create opportunities for direct communication, including innovation communication meetings called "I am also a CEO" with MZ generation employees.

CEO Lee stated, "We will establish a vibrant communication culture so that employees' diverse opinions and ideas can be directly reflected in management."
