KT Launches 'KT Ad Shop,' a Customized Platform Store for Small Business Owners

[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] KT announced on the 19th that it will launch a customized partnership platform store brand 'KT Add Shop' for small business owners running restaurants and shops.

The brand name KT Add Shop signifies ‘special benefits added to KT’s various partnership products.’ Two offline stores have opened in Seolleung, Seoul, and Sangmu, Gwangju.

The newly opened KT Add Shop differentiates itself by adding small business owner sales-tailored services that were not available in existing partnership platform stores. In the ‘Owner Success Zone’ set up in the store, customers can try services such as ▲‘AI Call Secretary,’ where AI answers and handles calls on behalf of the owner ▲‘AI Service Robot,’ which assists serving with autonomous driving technology ▲‘Semo Store,’ providing tax and management functions ▲‘V-Ringo,’ which adds video to call connection tones ▲24-hour security dispatch service ‘Giga Eyes’ ▲and commercial district analysis service ‘KT Jalnagage.’

At KT Add Shop, customers can experience products from partner companies ranging from popular home appliances like Samsung Serif TV to smartwatches and audio devices, and purchase products at more reasonable prices than the market through the ‘KT Half-Price Choice’ promotion.

The interior of the store is decorated with warm colors to break away from the stiff image of consultation spaces. Various smart kiosks are also installed so that customers can directly compare partnership products and partnership card benefits even while waiting to experience services. Content targeting the MZ generation includes a ‘Disney Goods Zone,’ a Samsung and Apple experience zone where device specs can be compared, an IT device accessory ‘Vending Machine,’ and unmanned used phone trading service ‘Mintit.’

Chanki Choi, Executive Vice President and Head of KT Sales Division, said, “After opening the first partnership platform store, we reviewed customer feedback and optimized the store by reorganizing it with small business owner services and content targeting the MZ generation. We hope customers will experience various partnership products at KT Add Shop, which offers differentiated services beyond a simple telecommunications store.”

Meanwhile, KT plans to expand from the Seolleung Intersection store in Seoul and the Sangmu store in Gwangju to KT stores nationwide.
