Lotte Hotel Seoul, Drive-Thru Promotion During Lunar New Year Holiday.

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Lotte Hotel announced on the 19th that it will launch a 'drive-thru' menu (a method of receiving ordered food while staying in the car) that caters to holiday demand favoring simple yet properly prepared ancestral rites tables, in line with the new holiday customs.

Lotte Hotel Seoul will offer the drive-thru product 'Family Gathering' from the 24th to February 2nd. It provides traditional popular holiday menus such as Family Set A, consisting of steamed abalone oxtail, rice cake soup, and assorted jeon (Korean pancakes), and Family Set B, consisting of premium braised short ribs, rice cake soup, and assorted jeon.

A premium set featuring a tomahawk steak (1.2 kg) grilled with Lotte Hotel's grilling secret, along with black tiger shrimp and grilled abalone, will also be introduced. The Momoyama Special Box, consisting of seven dishes including sukiyaki, pufferfish stew, and braised sea bream, is also available for purchase.

Single dishes are also prepared so that customers can enjoy representative menus from each restaurant of Lotte Hotel Seoul at home. The Japanese restaurant Momoyama offers grilled sablefish with miso, the Chinese restaurant Dorim provides Shao Mai and Dongpo pork, and the Peninsula Lounge & Bar offers an afternoon tea set as unique holiday delicacies.

During the advance reservation period until the 23rd, customers who reserve the drive-thru products through the Lotte Hotel website or Naver Reservation will receive a premium thermal bag as a special gift (excluding the Momoyama Special Box).

Reserved products can be picked up at the hotel's first-floor drive-thru zone from 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM.

Lotte Hotel World introduces the 'Delight Box,' a three-tier lunchbox that brings holiday food to life. It allows tasting of braised short ribs, japchae, abalone vinegar, yukjeon (pan-fried beef), and three-color jeon (shiitake mushroom, pumpkin, pollack), along with four kinds of seasoned vegetables. Traditional snacks such as yugwa, maejakgwa, and walnut rolls convey the festive atmosphere.

The Delight Box can be reserved online or by phone through the Lotte Hotel website and Naver Reservation until February 2nd. It can be picked up immediately at the drive-thru zone set up at the hotel door desk between 12 PM and 8 PM. On-site purchase is also available at Delica Hans on the first floor of the hotel.

A Lotte Hotel official said, "Last Chuseok's drive-thru products saw about a 15% increase in sales compared to the previous Chuseok, showing that holiday drive-thru products are steadily gaining popularity riding the non-face-to-face trend," adding, "It will be the best choice to enjoy holiday food prepared by hotel chefs at home."
