One New Inmate at Seoul Nambu Detention Center Tests Positive for COVID-19

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] One new inmate at Seoul Nambu Detention Center has tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

According to the Ministry of Justice on the 18th, the confirmed case was incarcerated at Nambu Detention Center on the 13th and tested positive in a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test on the same day.

The correctional authorities are tracing the confirmed patient's movements to carry out disinfection work and plan to conduct additional tests on close contacts.
