[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] Recently, as the transcript of the '7-hour phone call' of Kim Gun-hee, wife of Yoon Seok-yeol, the People Power Party's presidential candidate, was released, 35 unpublished audio recordings containing Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate's profanity and abusive language, were disclosed at the National Assembly.
Jang Young-ha, a lawyer and author of 'Goodbye Lee Jae-myung,' held a press conference at the National Assembly Communication Office on the afternoon of the 18th and released to the media a 160-minute recording file containing Lee's voice.
This appears to be a counterattack to the '7-hour phone call' of Kim, which MBC released on the 16th. Although the People Power Party did not take the forefront, it is reported that the Clean Election Strategy Headquarters under the campaign headquarters indirectly supported Lawyer Jang's press conference.
The released files include content where Lee verbally abuses his older brother Jae-seon and sister-in-law Park In-bok over the phone, and also mention Yoo Dong-gyu, former head of planning at Seongnam Urban Development Corporation, who is currently on trial as a key defendant in the Daejang-dong development project preferential treatment and lobbying allegations.
When Jae-seon mentioned Lee's wife Kim Hye-kyung, who graduated from Sookmyung Women's University College of Music, saying, "So Yoo Dong-gyu graduated from the music college, but was he hired?" Lee responded, "How did you know that?"
Lawyer Jang plans to distribute the entire file to the public. He said, "I am working on converting the MP3 file into a video format and uploading it on my Facebook," and added, "Please help the public properly understand the true nature of this candidate."

Meanwhile, on the same day (18th), Lee met with reporters after the Central Campaign Headquarters Women's Committee Victory Resolution Rally at Nurikum Square in Mapo-gu, Seoul, and apologized deeply as a citizen for causing such controversy due to the release of the recording files.
He continued, "It is a private family matter, and there are circumstances that are difficult to talk about," and explained, "At that time, my older brother and his wife recorded several files, so these were already public. It seems that what was sent to all reporters and journalists at the time has resurfaced."
He added, "That is also a part of my past and a responsibility I must take, so I apologize. The mother who was the cause of the problem is no longer in this world, and the older brother who was harsh to my mother is also no longer alive. This will never happen again, so I would appreciate it if the public could forgive me."
