Leading the Way in Providing Warm Housing Spaces for Underprivileged Families in the Community
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] KCC Co., Ltd. (CEO Jung Mong-jin, Jung Jae-hoon) Yeocheon Plant donated 80 million won to Yeosu City on the 18th, asking that it be used for improving the living environment of low-income families.
The sponsorship, designated and donated through the Community Chest of Korea during the 'Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign' period, will be used to provide comfortable living spaces for eight low-income welfare crisis households.
KCC Co., Ltd. has delivered hope to neighbors in need every year to fulfill its corporate social responsibility (CSR) as a sustainable company and to spread a culture of sharing in the local community.
Jang Kyung-gi, Plant Manager of KCC Yeocheon Plant, said, "We prepared the donation to give hope and courage to those struggling with the severe cold in winter and the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic," adding, "We believe that continuous support and practice of sharing is a process of creating better lives for both our company’s growth and local residents, and we will continue to strive for social contribution."
Yeosu Mayor Kwon Oh-bong expressed gratitude, saying, "We thank KCC Yeocheon Plant for their generous donations every year to help those in need and for their efforts to spread a culture of sharing," and added, "The interest and support of companies give courage and hope to many people. We will do our best to ensure that no marginalized neighbors are left behind by gathering your sincerity."
