[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Mobile healthcare platform company Goodoc is pushing forward with the establishment of an ‘in-house hospital,’ marking the full-scale construction of a digital healthcare system.
The ‘in-house hospital,’ to be set up within CareLabs’ new office building, will have medical staff on site to promote employee health as part of welfare measures. Additionally, it will be organically linked with Goodoc platform services such as non-face-to-face medical consultations and prescription drug delivery services, scheduled for launch at the end of this month. Ultimately, the strategy is to build an on-demand health service model similar to ‘Amazon Care,’ allowing users to receive medical treatment through medical institutions and mobile applications regardless of location.
Goodoc’s current ‘in-house hospital’ establishment project began as part of the gradual advancement toward a ‘digital healthcare platform’ by strengthening customized health management solutions based on lifelog data within the existing ‘Goodoc’ app. The company plans to integrate everyday health management systems with the Goodoc app to provide a preventive medicine system that alerts users to abnormal signals before disease onset and to build a personalized digital healthcare system.
Im Jinseok, CEO of Goodoc, stated, “This in-house hospital establishment project is expected to be an important milestone for Goodoc’s advancement as a digital healthcare platform. We will strive to accumulate know-how for future business through the operation of a new type of digital smart hospital and lead continuous change.”
Goodoc, which is attempting to evolve its digital healthcare platform, maintains partnerships with 30 EMR (Electronic Medical Record) companies, the largest scale in Korea. Last year, it expanded its medical software supply base through direct investment in EMR companies, and recently developed non-face-to-face on-site reception and medical questionnaire systems using tablets and kiosks, leading efforts to improve hospital operation efficiency.
