Business Agreement Signed for the Introduction of Large Waste Management Platform 'Ppaegi'
[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hanho] Jeonju City will operate a disposal system from March that allows convenient mobile processing from reporting to payment and collection when disposing of large waste.
On the 18th, the city signed a business agreement with Gatda Co., Ltd. (CEO Ko Jaesung), a developer of a mobile app for large waste collection, to introduce the smart large waste disposal system "Ppaegi," which disposes and processes large waste via a smartphone app.
With the introduction of the "Ppaegi" service, the large waste disposal procedure, which previously required reporting through the city hall website or phone and attaching a certificate for disposal and processing, will be simplified to allow non-face-to-face reporting and processing via mobile.
According to the agreement, Jeonju City plans to build the disposal system by February and conduct a pilot operation starting in March.
To use the "Ppaegi" service, users must download the app for free from the Play Store or App Store on their smartphones.
When disposing of waste, users enter the disposal location in the app after placing the items to be discarded, then take and upload photos of the items. The app's internal object recognition AI function automatically calculates an estimate, allowing users to check the amount and make a payment.
After payment, a disposal number is generated and sent to the person in charge and the collection company, so disposal reporting is completed without the separate process of attaching a certificate.
