"Strengthening Safety Measures and DigiCo Coexistence" KT Holds Partners Day

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT announced on the 18th that it held the '8th Partners Day' at Novotel Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun.

Now in its 8th year, 'KT Partners Day' is an event designed for KT and partner companies to share business directions and strengthen cooperation. On this day, KT explained its major management directions for this year to partner companies and emphasized that it will do its best to ▲strengthen safety measures ▲provide stable customer service ▲and promote mutual growth in the DigiCo ecosystem.

With the enforcement of the Serious Accident Punishment Act making on-site safety and health management more important, KT prioritized strengthening safety measures and systematically improving safety infrastructure. KT collaborates with safety specialized institutions to support field demonstrations and the development of safe construction methods and equipment. It distributes risk inspection equipment for utility poles (PCP scanner) and fall prevention auxiliary devices, and conducts comprehensive safety certification inspections for special vehicles such as cranes and bucket trucks. Additionally, to raise safety awareness, KT conducts year-round safety education for partner companies, including online and experiential training. KT promised to do its utmost in safety management and requested special attention and cooperation from partner companies.

Next, KT urged to unite efforts based on principles and trust to provide stable customer service. To respond to the ongoing global supply chain risks this year, KT plans to cooperate through long-term demand sharing, parts diversification, and strengthening communication councils to secure customer service stability. Furthermore, KT supports various programs to protect partner technical data, such as technology escrow, trade secret original certification services, and legal consulting. It also established a partner reporting channel to ensure compliance with the Subcontracting Act, including eradicating task performance before contracts, thereby strengthening trust with partners.

Moreover, KT announced plans to establish a support system to expand business opportunities for partner companies. To sustain mutual growth even in changing business areas, KT introduced a new partner concept. It is expanding the partner ecosystem beyond the existing telecommunications business-centered cooperation system for materials, construction, and services to include various new business areas, activating partnerships and investments. To this end, KT introduced the integrated partner platform 'EcoOn' to promote sharing of KT business information and improved the external proposal process to actively reflect partners' ideas in business.

Meanwhile, to express gratitude to companies that achieved excellent results through cooperation with KT, the 'Partner Award' was also held. A total of 37 companies were awarded across seven fields including partnership cooperation and future business. AI serving robot partner 'Bear Robotics,' AI audio service 'Humelo,' IPTV partner 'Gaon Media,' and Gwangju region 5G construction partner 'Gwangmyeong MC' received grand prizes.

KT CEO Koo Hyun-mo said, “For the growth into DigiCo KT to fully take off, cooperation with partner companies possessing excellent technology is essential,” and added, “KT will expand the business playing field and create success stories together with partners through active communication and support.”
