[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Hanwha General Insurance announced on the 18th that it has developed a mobile insurance subscription service based on the Kakao platform and is selling the mini insurance product 'OK2500 Dundeun Driver Insurance.'
The service features a Kakao platform-based subscription screen that allows customers to subscribe to insurance without installing an application. Until now, customers had to go through a complicated process including installation, membership registration, entering a large amount of personal information, and identity verification to subscribe to digital-only insurance via mobile devices.
Additionally, the input process has been simplified by automatically retrieving customer information through a simple consent procedure. Using personalized security link (u-Link) technology, even if a customer drops out during the subscription process, a link that allows continuation from the last information input point is sent via Kakao AlimTalk, reducing inconvenience.
A Hanwha General Insurance official stated, "We are continuously improving the service to make it easier for customers to subscribe to insurance," adding, "This method will be gradually introduced to other digital insurance products and applied to various services such as contract inquiry and insurance claim."
