Yeongdeok-gun is activating KakaoTalk to communicate with residents.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk is activating interactive communication with residents using the KakaoTalk channel. It is also receiving positive responses by reflecting communication content in administration.

The Yeongdeok-gun KakaoTalk channel, opened in March last year, allows residents to ask questions and receive answers in real time through one-on-one chat, unlike existing SNS media, enabling free communication between county officials and residents.

It also plays a significant role in promoting county administration by quickly informing residents not only of major administrative information but also of festivals and events.

Through the KakaoTalk channel, Yeongdeok-gun has directly produced and shared 183 pieces of various useful information such as photos, card news, and video content necessary for public announcements, notices, and project applications, and has responded to and guided 1,315 real-time questions.

Yeongdeok-gun plans to establish a new information delivery system, such as quickly conveying disaster situations through the KakaoTalk channel, to further strengthen communication with residents via an online non-face-to-face platform.
