Alumni of Dong-Eui University Judo Team Raise 30 Million KRW for University Development Fund

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Alumni of the Dong-Eui University Judo Team raised 30 million KRW for the university development fund and visited the Dong-Eui University president's office on the 17th to donate it.

Attending the donation ceremony were Dong-Eui University President Han Su-hwan, Vice President for External Affairs Kim Seon-ho, Director of External Cooperation Lee Hong-bae, Director of Sports Promotion Park Moon-su, Judo Team Coach Hwang In-su, and alumni of the judo team including Lee Yoon-guk (1st class), Baek Seong-pil (5th class), and Shin Sang-min (9th class).

Since 2019, the judo team coach and alumni have continuously donated amounts ranging from 10,000 KRW to 50,000 KRW monthly, which accumulated to about 30 million KRW as of January this year. The donated funds are being used for the judo team's training expenses and other related costs.

On behalf of the alumni, Lee Yoon-guk expressed, "The donation fund, collected bit by bit by the judo team alumni, is hoped to be used for discovering talented athletes, creating better training environments for juniors, and contributing to the development of Dong-Eui University."
