[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Jang Jongmin, a member of the Imsil County Council (District Na), presented opinions and policy proposals for the development of Imsil county administration through a '5-minute free speech' at the 1st plenary session of the 315th extraordinary meeting on the 17th.
In his 5-minute speech, Councilor Jang said, "Since September 2021, the county has been implementing an ordinance to support residents affected by fires in Imsil County, but residents feel that the support is insufficient in practice."
He added, "The support amounts for fire-affected households should be increased to 5 million won for total loss, 3 million won for damage between 30% and less than 70%, and 2 million won for damage less than 30%, so that families facing difficulties due to fire damage can tangibly feel social assistance."
Furthermore, he mentioned the cold storage support project, which has recently attracted much interest from many county residents, emphasizing, "The necessity of the agricultural product cold storage support project goes without saying, and to secure safe food for all residents from small business owners to ordinary households, the cold storage support project targeting all residents must be implemented as a continuous project, not a temporary one."
