[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Jinju City Council in Gyeongnam announced that Councilor Baek Seung-heung received the ‘Local Legislative Service Award’ in recognition of his enthusiastic local legislative activities from the Gyeongnam City and County Council Chairpersons Association.

The Local Legislative Service Award is given by the Gyeongnam City and County Council Chairpersons Association to local government councilors who demonstrate a strong sense of duty and dedicate themselves to regional development and serving residents.

Councilor Baek Seung-heung actively carried out legislative activities, including proposing the ‘Jinju City Ordinance to Support the Activation of Korean Sign Language’ and the ‘Request for Imposing Fines on Witnesses Who Fail to Appear for Administrative Affairs Audits.’

He also showed exceptional interest and passion for city issues by suggesting the ‘Restoration of Guinhoe Sanghoe for Revitalizing Jungang Market’ and the ‘Creation of Mulberry Tree Complexes and Silkworm Experience Centers for the Revival of the Silk Industry.’
