Gyeongnam Office of Education Appoints Choi Seong-yu as Deputy Superintendent ... "Will Do Our Best with a Heavy Sense of Responsibility"

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Choi Seong-yu, Director of Youth Policy at the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, was appointed as the Deputy Superintendent of Gyeongnam Office of Education on the 17th.

Considering the prolonged COVID-19 situation, Deputy Superintendent Choi started work by greeting through a Monday meeting without a separate inauguration ceremony.

Deputy Superintendent Choi is from Jeongeup, Jeonbuk, graduated from Dankook University with a degree in Public Administration, completed a master's degree in Education at Seoul National University, and earned a doctorate in Public Administration from Yonsei University.

He entered public service by passing the 39th Administrative Examination in 1996 and worked at central government agencies such as the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Planning Team of the National Education Council.

After being promoted to a senior public official in 2019, he served as the director of the administrative offices at Gyeongsang National University and Sunchon National University, and recently served as the Director of Youth Policy at the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.

Deputy Superintendent Choi said, "I am pleased to work at the Gyeongnam Office of Education, which is moving beyond educational innovation to future education under the vision of a school where learning is enjoyable and Gyeongnam education is nurtured together," and added, "I will do my best with a heavy sense of responsibility."
