Hampyeong-gun Accepting Applications for 47.3 Billion KRW Support in 'Food and Horticulture' Sector Until Next Month 7

[Hampyeong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Hampyeong County is accepting applications for the 2022 support projects in the food and horticulture sectors until the 7th of next month to increase farm household income.

According to the county on the 17th, a total of 41 projects will be supported with 47.3 billion KRW to strengthen competitiveness in the food and horticulture sectors, including support for purchasing small agricultural machinery, reducing production costs of agricultural products, and supporting wells for horticultural crops.

The support targets are farmers, agricultural corporations, and farmer organizations registered as agricultural management entities with an address in Hampyeong.

However, applicants must meet the eligibility and essential requirements for each detailed project.

Farmers and organizations wishing to apply should complete the application form and required documents and submit them to the local town or township office with jurisdiction over their address by the 7th of next month.

The county plans to select the final support recipients in March through the Hampyeong County Agricultural Policy Deliberation Committee after on-site verification based on evaluation tables for each project.

This year's support projects also include new policies for agricultural convenience, such as purchasing work chairs for farming tasks and supporting labor-saving agricultural materials in the horticulture sector, which are expected to greatly contribute to improving agricultural productivity.

A county official said, “We will continue to discover various food and horticulture sector policies suitable for local conditions to contribute to stabilizing farmers' income.”
