[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Hana Card announced on the 17th that it will expand the number of merchants accepting 1QPay QR payments to strengthen its competitiveness in the mobile simple payment market.
1QPay is a lifestyle financial platform that allows users to access simple payment services, asset management, remittance, card services, and Hana Money. Starting with CU convenience stores nationwide in November last year, QR code payments are now available at Daiso, Lotte Duty Free, and Dalkom Coffee.
To expand QR payments, Hana Card is continuously recruiting merchants in lifestyle-oriented sectors such as convenience stores, coffee shops, and bakeries. It plans to expand QR payments to neighborhood markets by partnering with Zero Pay.
Additionally, to enable QR payments overseas, Hana Card will operate overseas QR payment services within the first half of the year through partnerships with UnionPay International and GNL International (Hana Financial Group's global payment hub).
Lee Seok, Head of Digital Strategy Division at Hana Card, stated, "By expanding the usage locations of 1QPay QR payments, we will provide customers who want more convenient and faster payments with opportunities to experience various simple payment services."
