Card Gorilla announced on the 17th that, after analyzing 124 major cards released last year (109 credit cards and 15 check cards), 87 of them (70.2%) were vertical plates.
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Among the 10 newly released cards last year, 7 were designed in a 'vertical' rather than 'horizontal' format.
Card Gorilla announced on the 17th that, after analyzing 124 major cards released last year (109 credit cards, 15 check cards), 87 (70.2%) were vertical plates. Among credit cards, 78 out of 109 (71.6%) were vertical, and among check cards, 9 out of 15 (60%) were vertical cards.
The company that introduced the most vertical cards last year was Hyundai Card. Hyundai Card released 20 types of vertical plate products. Shinhan Card, Lotte Card, and KB Kookmin Card followed Hyundai Card, each releasing 10 types of vertical cards.
Go Seung-hoon, CEO of Card Gorilla, said, "Considering the MZ generation who are accustomed to vertical smartphones or digital devices that are convenient to use in hand, the release of vertical cards is likely to become a necessity rather than a choice in the future."
