[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Kim Gun-hee, the spouse of Yoon Seok-yeol, the People Power Party's presidential candidate, made remarks defending former Chungcheongnam-do Governor Ahn Hee-jung in relation to the Me Too incidents. Regarding the Me Too cases, she also said things like "It happens because they don't get paid."
On the 16th, according to MBC's program 'Straight,' in a phone call with Lee Myung-su, a reporter from 'Seoul Voice,' she said, "I feel sorry for Ahn Hee-jung," and "My husband and I are very much on Ahn Hee-jung's side."
Former Governor Ahn was convicted and is currently imprisoned for sexually assaulting his secretary by abusing his power during his tenure as Chungnam governor.
Kim said, "Conservatives definitely take care of their own. They don't exploit people for free," adding, "That's why Me Too incidents rarely happen here (in conservative circles)." She continued, "Me Too happens because they don't get paid, right? They don't have money but still want to have affairs, so that's why."
