LG Electronics Ranked No.1 in 'Large Capacity Washer' Category by US Consumers This Year

Drums and Top-Loaders Receive Highest Ratings

LG Tromm, ranked No.1 in the drum washer category of Consumer Reports' 'Best Large Capacity Washing Machines of 2022' in the U.S.

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] LG Electronics has won the title of 'Best Large-Capacity Washing Machine of 2022' chosen by American consumers.

According to the industry on the 16th, the U.S. consumer media Consumer Reports selected LG Electronics products as the number one in both the drum washing machine and top-loading washing machine categories in the 2022 best large-capacity washing machine evaluation. LG Electronics took both first and second place in the large-capacity drum washing machine and top-loading washing machine categories.

The LG Tromm washing machine (model LG WM9000HVA), which ranked first in the large-capacity drum washing machine category, received the highest score of 86 points among all washing machines. Consumer Reports described this product as "one of the best-performing drum washing machines tested" and awarded it the highest rating (Excellent) for energy efficiency and washing performance.

This product is also a 'Green Choice' model awarded to the top 28 products after Consumer Reports tested water and energy efficiency, brand reliability, and softness of laundry after washing.

In this evaluation, Samsung Electronics took first place in the large-capacity agitator washing machine category. Samsung Electronics ranked third following LG Electronics in the large-capacity drum and top-loading washing machine categories. As a result, Korean companies swept the top three positions in Consumer Reports' washing machine evaluation.
