On the afternoon of the 14th, after holding a meeting with Candidate Sim at his residence in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, Leader Yeo told reporters, "The candidate said that he would not abandon the sense of mission of progressive politics."

Leader Yeo said, "He is still taking time to reflect and looked very troubled," adding, "He said that progressive politics is facing its greatest crisis in 20 years, and as a responsible politician who has walked the path of progressive politics, he intends to take on that role. In light of this, I felt that the candidate is not considering withdrawal."

Leader Yeo explained, "The candidate did not directly mention (not withdrawing), and I did not ask either," adding, "Asking that would be painful for the candidate and inappropriate for the party. Because I have faith in the candidate, I told him to stay strong, and that our party will reflect more deeply and reform itself."

Regarding the reason why Candidate Sim suspended the presidential election schedule and entered a period of contemplation, she said, "When the period of reflection ends, he will inform the public again at an appropriate time," adding, "It will not go beyond this Sunday."

Leader Yeo predicted, "Rather than blaming others, he is focusing on what we misjudged and what we need to reflect on, so the period of reflection should not be too long. Therefore, it will conclude before this weekend." The deadline for the reflection period until the coming weekend was requested by Leader Yeo, who said, "Candidate Sim also said, 'I will not make it too long.'"

Leader Yeo added, "After finishing the reflection, I think he will deliver a message to the public."
