[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Singer Kim Samuel has ended his exclusive contract dispute and is resuming active activities.
Kim Samuel and Brave Entertainment (hereinafter Brave) announced on the 13th, "After long discussions, we have resolved mutual misunderstandings and reached an amicable agreement."
On the day, Kim Samuel said, "The three years of legal battles were difficult, but it was a time for me to reflect deeply and learn a lot. I am grateful to everyone who did not forget me, remembered me, and waited during the long hiatus."
He continued, "As an adult, I ask for your support as I greet you, and I will do my best with a sincere heart as if starting from the beginning without losing my initial determination. I dream of the day I can greet you soon with good songs and great performances, and I am thankful to be able to share this news even like this."
In May 2019, Kim Samuel filed a lawsuit raising issues regarding the performance contract and settlement process with Brave, and Brave countered with a damage claim lawsuit worth about 1 billion KRW.
Kim Samuel won the lawsuit to confirm the non-existence of the exclusive contract filed in November last year, and although Brave expressed an intention to appeal, the dispute was resolved through an agreement.
This year, Kim Samuel is determined to actively promote himself as a solo singer and all-around entertainer.
