Daewoo E&C will supply a total of 30,000 housing units, including apartments and officetels, to the nationwide pre-sale market this year.
Daewoo E&C announced on the 13th that starting with ‘Dalseo Prugio Signature’ in Daegu this month, it plans to supply a total of 30,000 residential units nationwide, including ▲18,985 apartments ▲6,322 residential-commercial complexes ▲4,378 officetel units ▲315 townhouses.
Daewoo E&C operates a ‘Strategic Project Site System’ that selects promising business sites across more than 245 cities, counties, and districts nationwide based on accumulated big data. This year, the company plans to target the nationwide pre-sale market using this system.
By region, 16,497 units will be supplied in the Seoul metropolitan area including Seoul, and 13,503 units in other provinces.
In Seoul, 5,175 units are planned mainly through urban renewal projects such as Haengdang 7 District, Sillim 3 District, and Mapo-ro 3-3 District. In Gyeonggi Province, 10,717 units will be supplied in key areas including its own projects in Suwon Mangpo District and Yangju Station Area Development District, as well as ‘Jije Station Prugio Eliats’ in Pyeongtaek and ‘Vermontro Gwangmyeong’. This represents about a 29% (3,825 units) increase compared to the 13,122 units supplied in the metropolitan area last year.
Although the pre-sale volume in other provinces has slightly decreased compared to the previous year, the strategy is to diversify regions and tap into niche demand. In April, the townhouse ‘Jeju Prugio The First Phase 1’ and 1,169 residential-commercial complex units in Chungju Enterprise City, Chungbuk, are scheduled for supply. In June, 992 units in Yonggang District, Gwangyang, Jeollanam-do are awaiting pre-sale. In the second half of the year, 960 units in Munhyeon 1BL, Nam-gu, Busan, and 972 units in 18BL and 886 units in 27BL of Eco Delta City, Gangseo-gu, are waiting to be supplied, along with 540 residential-commercial complex units planned in Sincheon-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu.
Officetels and residential hotel facilities will also be supplied. Daewoo E&C plans to pre-sell a total of 4,378 officetel units, including ‘Sewoon Prugio The Botanic’ in March, and plans to supply residential hotel facilities in Yangyang-gun, Gangwon-do in July.
A Daewoo E&C official said, "The real estate market this year is expected to have greater uncertainty than last year, so we are preparing detailed pre-sale strategies by region and complex using big data," adding, "We will further strengthen digital marketing tailored to customer needs to realize customer-centered pre-sale services in the new normal era."
