Lee Jae-myung Whistleblower's 'Mysterious Death'... Kim Jin-tae Says, "No Reason for Whistleblower to Commit Suicide" [Captured from former lawmaker Kim Jin-tae's Twitter]

[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] The individual who first reported the 'allegation of lawyer fee payment on behalf' involving Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate, was found dead, intensifying public suspicion and doubts toward the candidate once again.

In this regard, Kim Jin-tae, Chairman of the Special Committee for Public Verification of Lee Jae-myung's Corruption from the People Power Party (Chuncheon Gap Party Committee Chairman), expressed suspicion toward the candidate on the 12th via SNS, stating that "there is a strong suspicion of homicide."

Chairman Kim declared, "Lee Byung-chul, who reported the lawyer fee payment on behalf of Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party presidential candidate, was found dead," and added, "I spoke with him several times, and since he was a whistleblower, there was no reason for him to commit suicide."

He emphasized, "He is the only person who appears in all three recordings related to the lawyer fee payment on behalf," and urged, "Let's not say this time he was driven to death."

Chairman Kim particularly expressed doubt, saying, "The cause of death is unknown, and there is a strong suspicion of homicide," and questioned, "Who would dare to work under such fear?"

Previously, Yuhan-gi, former Head of the Development Project Division at Seongnam Urban Development Corporation, and Kim Moon-gi, Head of Development Section 1, who were under investigation by the prosecution regarding the Daejang-dong development allegations, were also found dead one after another.

Meanwhile, the police found Lee Byung-chul dead at a motel in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, around 8:40 p.m. on the 11th.

Lee was the person who, in 2018, reported to the pro-Moon Jae-in group 'Awake Citizens Solidarity Party' that Lee Jae-myung had paid 2 billion won in cash and stocks as fees to a certain lawyer appointed as his defense counsel in cases including violations of the Public Official Election Act, along with related recordings.

The 'Awake Citizens Solidarity Party' filed a complaint with the prosecution last October based on these recordings against the candidate and others. This case is currently under investigation by the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office.

The bereaved family of the deceased Lee stated on the day that "Lee claimed he was pressured by the ruling party during his lifetime."

The Democratic Party's election committee rebutted through a statement, saying, "Until the substantive truth is revealed, Lee is the subject of the 'allegation of fabricated payment recordings.'"
