NH Nonghyup Geochang County Branch Collaborates to Overcome Population Issues with First Residency Report of the Year
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 12th that Lee Sang-hoon, Deputy Branch Manager of NH Nonghyup Geochang-gun Branch, became the first new resident of Geochang-eup in the Year of the Black Tiger (Im In Year) on January 3, 2022.
This is due to NH Nonghyup Geochang-gun Branch's participation in the ‘Campaign to Have a Workplace Local Address in Geochang-gun.’ The ‘Workplace Local Address Campaign’ is a policy that encourages office workers who work in the district and actually reside there but have their address registered in another area to move their residence registration to Geochang-gun by informing them of the many benefits provided upon moving.
NH Nonghyup Geochang-gun Branch has actively participated in the county’s ‘Workplace Local Address Campaign’ and is encouraging employees assigned to Geochang-gun during the personnel reshuffle in the first half of 2022 to transfer their residence registration, actively contributing to overcoming the population issue in Geochang-gun.
Lee Sang-hoon, Deputy Branch Manager of NH Nonghyup Geochang-gun Branch, expressed his thoughts, saying, “I am pleased to start the new year of Im In meaningfully by participating in the Workplace Local Address Campaign promoted by Geochang-gun.”
Gu In-mo, Mayor of Geochang-gun, said, “The reason Geochang-gun recorded the smallest population decrease and the lowest population decline rate among the counties in Gyeongnam last year was due to the active cooperation of local institutions and businesses,” and added, “I hope you will continue to actively participate in the county’s population increase policies such as the ‘Workplace Local Address Campaign’ so that Geochang-gun can become a city of population growth.”
Meanwhile, to realize a city with population growth, Geochang-gun is creating an environment where all residents can enjoy a rich and happy life, while significantly strengthening support for new residents and young people by expanding support in various areas such as increased settlement subsidies for new residents, provision of public rental housing in rural areas, youth marriage congratulatory funds, and youth stepping stone savings accounts.
