Dongseo University Seoul Video Advertising Festival YCA award winners are taking a group commemorative photo.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Dooyul] Students from the Department of Advertising and Public Relations and the College of Design at Dongseo University won multiple awards at the Seoul Video Advertising Festival YCA (Young Creative Award).
Five teams of Dongseo University students won awards at the festival: 1 Gold, 1 Silver, and 3 Bronze.
The Seoul Video Advertising Festival is the most prestigious video advertising event in Korea, held under the slogan "With the most popular perspective, most fairly."
The festival selects finalists through a first round of professional advertiser judging, a second round of TVCF member online judging, and then chooses winners through a third round of final judging by the main jury panel.
The Gold Award was given to Subin Lim, Geunhee Kim, Daeyeop Kim, and Daegyeom Kang for their entry "Burger-in Log-king," which uses a login window to make it easier for the public to approach Burger King.
The Silver Award went to Minjae Kwon for "BUGGY COOKIE," a motion graphic piece on the topic of edible insects.
The Bronze Awards were given to Youngmin Son, Sujeong Choi, and Yurim Lee for "Dental Treatment System for the Hearing Impaired"; Subin Lim, Daeyeop Kim, Dongho Kang, Jiwon Jeong, and Jisoo Jang for "WEGO," which encourages creativity in children using infinite bricks in a virtual space; and Jihye Yoon, Roa Kim, Jeonga Kwon, and Jaemin Park for "Bruised Doll," which reflects on parents' language habits.
Geunhee Kim from the Department of Design said, "Consistent communication and an open mind among team members greatly helped produce good results."
Except for the Silver Award, the other four works were results of the LINC+ Capstone Convergence course "Ideation Convergence Practice" and also won awards at the Seoul Video Advertising Festival YCA, Reddot Award, and CLIO Award.
