New Year's Event in 'Gather Town'
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] The Sejong Telecom consortium announced on the 12th that it will hold a virtual pop-up store for the real estate easy investment application (app) 'Vbrick' from the 13th to the 27th.
The 'Tikitaka New Year's Party Vbrick' event was planned with the intention of utilizing Vbrick's customer communication channel, 'Vbrick Square,' which uses the metaverse, at a time when year-end and New Year gatherings have become difficult due to the COVID-19 situation.
Vbrick Square is created within the metaverse video conferencing platform 'Gather Town.' It allows up to 500 people to connect and participate simultaneously, and users can turn on their camera and microphone at any moment to communicate with others. Free conversations are possible in virtual spaces such as Gwangalli Beach or conference rooms. As a New Year's event, free business and financial fortune readings are also provided.
An authentication shot challenge is also underway. After accessing Vbrick Square, if users upload an authentication shot including hashtags such as ‘Vbrick Square’ and ‘Vbrick’ on social networking services (SNS), they will receive a mobile gifticon for snacks for non-face-to-face gatherings on a first-come, first-served basis. The benefit is limited to one time per person.
Vbrick is one of the Busan Blockchain Regulatory Free Zone projects led by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and is a demonstration project conducted by a consortium of four companies: Sejong Telecom, Vbrick, Aegis Asset Management, and DS Networks.
The app is available for free download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. After new registration, customers who complete non-face-to-face account opening with the trustee institution Busan Bank or link an existing account and convert a deposit of 100,000 KRW or more to participate in the public offering will receive an investment support fund of 10,000 KRW, limited to the first 3,000 customers.
