[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Air Premia announced that it will commence flights to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on the 12th, following its launch in Singapore.
The Incheon~Ho Chi Minh route will initially prioritize cargo transport three times a week. Air Premia plans to accelerate passenger services once changes in quarantine policies or travel safe corridors (VTL) are reinstated.
The company is currently coordinating schedules with leasing companies to introduce its 2nd and 3rd aircraft (B787-9) this year. The B787-9 is a mid-sized aircraft with a range exceeding 15,000 km, capable of reaching Europe and the Americas. Its fuel efficiency is approximately 30% higher compared to existing aircraft.
Air Premia is undergoing approval procedures aiming to launch the Incheon~LA route in May. The company plans to secure up to four aircraft this year, expand to seven next year, and increase its fleet to ten by the year after next.
Yoo Myung-seop, CEO of Air Premia, stated, "We will provide comfort at a reasonable price accessible to everyone, and ask that you pay attention to the new-concept airline that Air Premia is presenting."
