Yeogi Eottae Joins UN Global Compact... "Strengthening ESG Management"

[Asia Economy Reporter Junhyung Lee] Leisure platform Yogiottae has joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), a UN-affiliated organization.

Yogiottae announced on the 11th that it received the membership certificate from the UNGC Korea Association Secretariat. The UNGC was established in 2000 with the goal of sustainable development. Its core aim is to internalize the 10 principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption into management strategies. Approximately 19,000 member companies from 162 countries worldwide participate.

Yogiottae will participate in conferences and research surveys hosted by the UNGC and carry out projects related to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management. Various measures are being considered, including strengthening social contribution programs, collaborating to revitalize local economies, and promoting low-carbon travel projects.

Chuntaek Kwon, Secretary-General of the UNGC Korea Association, stated, “We hope that through this membership, Yogiottae will internalize the social responsibilities presented by the international community into its management and grow into a sustainable and responsible company leading the industry.”

Myunghoon Jung, CEO of Yogiottae, said, “We will present management activity cases that meet global standards,” adding, “We will consider practical methods to participate in enhancing corporate citizenship with a sense of social responsibility.”
